Online shopping gets an AI makeover

Ever whished to be able to shop online by colour and pressing the little colour square was too much of an effort for you? Well, Yoox has just made your life easier by experimenting voice recognition technology.

As with actual shopping, costumer experience is extremely important, and as fashion companies compete to have the best staff, most beautiful shops, most elaborate packaging, the online shopping world is also competing for to make life easier for their clients. The advances in technology make once unheard of possibilities become reality.

Yoox is experimenting a new service is called “Speak & Shop”. Through the convergence between voice recognition technology and text search, costumers on Yoox will be able to tell the store what colour they desire to shop. So if you’re in search for a new LBD, all you need to do is to say “Black” into your microphone and a selection of black clothes will appear on your screen as if by magic.

The technology, like Yoox itself is all rigorously Italian, which of course makes us even more proud about the achievement.
