Urban Forest: where the wild things aren't

It is all about the call of nature these days, may it be Copenhagen or an inner desire to go back to our more primitive selves... The latest example comes in the shape of a pretty skyscraper which boasts an actual inner forest… Who needs a balcony!

They’re called the MAD architects and bonkers they are! The inspiration was the Chinese landscapes, which they recreated by giving a very organic shape to the tower.

Destined to be built in the Chinese town of Chongqing it addresses various issues amongst which lack of space and general lack of green. Instead of piling on top of one another in a sorry little excuse for a park happy residents will pile onto one another but each on their own uniquely shaped floor; there are 70 of them so that should satisfy quite a few people.

Let's just hope the new breed of urban hunters will not be part of this lot as the combination of rifles and a tower entirely built out of glass could get just a tiny bit messy!
