Ping Pong and cocktails rule NYC

For those of you wondering what to do of an evening now that winter is approaching, could new Manhattan social club Spin that has combined a table tennis cub and private member's club be the answer?

By combining the sport of table tennis with an exclusive social club, SPiN New York has created something entirely original. Proving its social climbing credentials, the new club, owned by actress Susan Sarandon (who bizarrely is a card carrying member of the Ping Pong society) was hosted by establishment magazine Vanity Fair.

If you're exhausted by the trendy bar scene and looking at people's shoes whilst chewing on fusion nibbles, this Todd Oldham designed basement club on Park Avenue south could be a breath of fresh air. Don't worry either if your friends don't play ping-pong, the club’s Tuesday “Pick-up Nights”, offer expert evaluators who cleverly coordinate your matches with the ideal ‘ping pong playing partner’.

In day-to-day life of course polygamy is not to be encouraged – with ping-pong however it’s positively encouraged. Love everyone, play with a multitude of partners and leave feeling, challenged, and invigorated. Not something you feel after an evening at the bar.
