New London College of Style launches giving aspiring fashion stylists a recognised path to kick off their career.
Graduate in style at the London College of Style
Have you always aspired to become a fashion stylist but never knew where to start and how?
Thanks to international model Kate Smith and renowned stylist Wendy Elsmore, the road map is clear: register at their recently launched style institution, London College of Style and get on board for a summer or a term. The idea of creating a school specialized in styling came from the fact that there are too many wasted talents and too many wannabees out there. A school that gathers professionals, industry influencers, experts, is definitely a solution for gifted and motivated people. A stylist in the making, the courses offered by London College of Style will ease your life and speed up your career. It is a unique blend of styling education, with celebrity guest speakers from the entertainment industries such as cinema and TV, high profile tutors including Gary Page (senior lecturer at Chelsea College of Art & Design and The Royal College of Art) and make up artist Xanthia White (her credits comprise Tom Raider, Sleepy Hollow, Elizabeth & Stardust as well as A-list clients, Jude Law and Ewan McGregor).
Starting on 29th September 2010, the 12 week courses will focus on practical tuition with modules such as garment construction, styling for labels, magazines, TV, films, stage and personal clients.
To put it in a nutshell the two fashion experts went on this new adventure “to create a learning environment that ensures a fantastic level of fashion styling education with real working possibilities as the end result” (Wendy Elsmore).
Working in fashion has become fashionable maybe too fashionable, as everyone wants to be part of it. One must not forget that it is an industry made of special and unique talents. It is not about pretending, it is about delivering creations, designs and helping individuals in expressing their individuality.
