This week Karl Lagerfeld’s customized Sponge Bob (astonishing likeness see above) for a Parisian auction in aid of the WWF – and it’s not Square Pant’s first glamorous outfit of the week. In Milan, Rolling Stone Magazine (who recently named Italian President Silvio Berlusconi their rock star of the year) held a Christmas Ball in honour of the animated character. Amongst popcorn and champagne kids played The Ultimate DJ on playstations whilst the city’s hipsters actually appeared to be - well almost having fun amongst the ice-cream cones and cabaret band.

Online – Pharrell Williams, him of the innate cool chip, has posted his must-see for the forthcoming Miami Art Basel as kids shop Friends With You.

Friends with you - (FWY) is an artist collaborative founded by the two Miami-based artists, Sam Borkson, born in Plantation, Florida in 1979, and Arturo Sandoval III, born in Havana, Cuba in 1976. The collaboration promotes messages of magic, luck, and friendship, through animation.
