We’ve come across interesting shoots before, and well, in my opinion this one beats them all. Fashion editor Ece Sûkan, pairs super model Laetitia Casta with a Chimpanzee in a shoot set at the most recognizable landscapes in Paris.
On
first impressions the shoot looks a bit awkward, and it is down to Tibby, the
chimp. Then, as you turn the pages, Tibby’s performance, and the way Laetitia is
able to bond with the animal gives the shoot an added pathos.
The
Dolce&Gabbana Alta Moda garments don’t fall into the background however. On
the cover Leatitia channels something of a mix between French aristocratic
maiden, and well, French can-can dancer too, with her incredible legs on
display.
The
elegance of the Alta Moda collection jumps off the page when looking at the
incredible white lace skirt suit and dress.
The
effortlessness of the fashion, yet the intrinsic beauty of the fabrics and craft
are characterized by the easy movements and poses Laetitia takes on.
Pont
Alexandre III and the Eiffel Tower act as theatrical settings to this equally
theatrical shoot. The Alta Moda collection and Leatitia Casta shine as stars of
the fashion set, and well, Tibby must have a future as a model too.
