Marie Antoinette is still haute in baroque

The dream team Giampaolo Sgura and Anna dello Russo are at it again on Vogue Japan. The October issue sees a flamboyant, baroque, almost sickeningly opulent shoot inspired by Marie Antoinette.

Glossy like a box of Laudree macaroons, sweet like a wedding cake covered in sugar decorations, and opulent like the Dolce&Gabbana FW13 collection, Giampaolo Sgura and Anna dello Russo create a dream worthy of Marie Antoinette herself.

Dutch model Ymre Stiekema plays the part of Queen Marie Antoinette perfectly; beautiful, unashamedly spoiled and somewhat saucy.

And I say, let them eat cake: a Dolce&Gabbana gilded cake with soft silk tulle and lace filling.
