Doha Tribeca Film Festival in Qatar satisfied its audience with Justin Chadwick’s latest movie ‘The First Grader’ starring the beautiful actress Naomie Harris, already famous for her part in the sequels of “Pirates of the Caribbean”.
If only we had known of Mau Mau before, we would’ve featured him in one of our articles just to share his inspiring story with our readers. This true story made it into a movie called ‘The First Grader’ by the acclaimed director Justin Chadwick and closed the Doha Tribeca Film Festival in Qatar on the 30th of October, receiving a lot of positive feedback.

The story tells the tale of a very old war veteran passionate about learning to read and write so much that he joins a class full of 6 year olds. The movie became so much more special with the participation of Naomie Harris in the cast. She won our hearts already with her performance as Tia Dalma in the previous Pirates of Caribbean movies and now she adds an artistic perspective to her career going from a very big Hollywood production to a more alternative one…
Tribeca Film Festival in New York has always been a cool event that saw a lot of interesting participants, but this time it collaborated with Doha Film Institute to organize a new film festival in Qatar that combines the Arabian cinema scene with the International one, and gives a chance to its film industry.
With all the positive feedback Arabian movies recieved from the press, Bollywood should better watch out because Arabianwood is on its way…
