The Czech Republic is not short of beautiful locations for romantic fashion shoots, but for their October issue they’ve chosen to illustrate the Dolce&Gabbana FW13 Baroque Collection in an all together very Italian setting; Lake Como.
The
Dolce&Gabbana Fw13 Baroque Collection lends itself well to a romantic
interpretation, flowing silhouettes, gilded tulle, soft velvets, roses and
innocent whites create a very tactile and visually rich collection.
Beautiful
jewellery created with delicate flowers or cherubs, which amongst many things
represent love, culminate in a romantic love affair with fashion.
Lake
Como, with its grand architecture and incredible scenery proves to be an idyllic
backdrop for a wistfully sentimental shoot.
Gold
embroidered lace corset dresses contrast well with the cold stone of the porch.
While
the white lace and cross-stitched rose dress fits in beautifully with the
verdant bushes which decorate the gardens of the villa.
The
silhouettes of the model, set against the rolling hills and quiet waters of the
lake almost seem to represent femininity in nature.
Conversely,
a laced look with floor length cape has something fairy tale like to it, the
winding path and lost expression- a Dolce&Gabbana little lace riding hood?
While
the sinuous shape of the model’s hips mirrors the amphora like columns of a
beautiful balcony overlooking the water.
