Kate Moss: 10 reasons why we still love her today

Kate Moss has done it all and given most things a damn good try. This month, in the June edition Harper’s Bazaar US, she was photographed by legendary photographer Terry Richardson and reminded us why we love her as much as ever. Here are 10 reasons to love Kate Moss today…

1.Let’s start with just how damn beautiful the lady in question still is. Kate Moss is looking as fine as ever and, as with most these days, seems to be getting more and more attractive with age. Maybe a few of know the reason why but whatever. Whether it’s rumours of plastic surgery or even good ol’ haemorrhoid cream, Moss is as foxy as ever.

2.This girl loves her trash. No no, this is T.V. we’re on about. Don’t believe us? Then take a look at her Twitter account and see for yourself. Just like most of the world, she has developed an unhealthy addiction to ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’ and isn’t ashamed to say so hashtagging #biggestfan whenever she Tweets. And there we were thinking that the ‘it’ girl only paid attention to all things Indie.

3.Moss is learning guitar, taking inspiration from her husband Jamie Hince. But it’s been reported that the only song she can play is ‘candle in the wind’ by Elton John… I’m sure it goes down well at drunken parties and includes a bit of cigarette lighter waving.

4.Bored with being in front of the camera all the time, the supermodel has started placing herself behind the camera as seen at Ronnie Wood’s recent charity event in London. Also, putting yourself behind the camera as it ensures that you get the perfect profile picture for your profile.

5.Kate Moss isn’t afraid to celebrate the up and coming models, making way for new talent to shine and offering her support. She will be sharing the catwalk with Naomi Campbell and other young models as part of the Olympic closing ceremony on August 12th. Don’t think that this means she’s going to be removing her crown anytime soon, oh no no no. Her and Naomi Campbell can still strut their stuff as fearless as ever as the world’s fashions lovers and designers still can’t get enough of these twp ladies.

6.It seems that she might be the only supermodel who wants to gain weight. Fair play Kate. And what makes this better is that it is all in the bid to have another child. We like!

7.Girls want to be her and guys want to tattoo her… her name that is. As if being the husband of the supermodel isn’t enough for Jamie Hince, who has only gone and got a tattoo that says ‘Kate uber alles’ (or in English ‘Kate above all’). Just goes to show that guys will do anything to keep her attention. The only guy who could command Kate was ‘bad boy’ Pete Doherty, but those days have passed.

8.Not only is Kate still cited as a fashion icon, she’s also styling you. Kind of. Her collaboration with British trend-setting clothes store, Top Shop, may have ended but it is now Mango who has fallen under the spell of Kate Moss’ fashion knowhow. She has us worrying for a while but, when the SS12 collection was finally revealed, it felt like a missing piece was back in its rightful place

9.She doesn’t take shit… or urine for that matter. We’re talking dogs here. Not only is she good at keeping her men well trained, Moss is also putting the work in to make sure that her new puppy doesn’t use his bodily fluids to decorate her house, again. This isn’t the first time that Kate Moss has used her authoritative side to influence those around her but never a dog… should we feel sorry for the pup?

10.Kate Moss named a TopShop T-shirt after her daughter… enough said. I’ve taken to naming my sandwiches after my (imaginary) son. Excalibur.

So, you see, there are plenty of reasons to stay true to one of the original ‘It’ girls and Swide are more than happy to show our devotion. Kate, we love you.
