Giampaolo Sgura, Anna Dello Russo and Dolce&Gabbana are a well-established and formidable team. For the February edition of Vogue Brazil they come together again in a colourful, Latin American yet contemporary Carmen Miranda themed shoot.

Forget fruit basket headdresses, instead think Dolce&Gabbana Spring Summer 2013 Sicilian Folk: Caltagirone Moors, Pupi, and even wicker dresses. Carmen Miranda remains an icon to many, and in this shoot her slightly kitsch persona and very folk appearance have been updated by today’s fashion trilogy.
