Nothing is more suggestive of a metaphorical and physical journey to China than the Great Wall. The video opens with a masterful mix of ancient Chinese tradition and modernity. Sprawling highways are juxtaposed to ancient monuments evoking the dichotomy which exists in this ever expanding country steeped in history and tradition.

With the imperial residence turned private venue, the China Club in Beijing as a backdrop, the Dolce&Gabbana shoot comes to life. The eccentric tailored items from the Fall Winter Collection, as well as the sartorially renowned tuxedo worn by Mr Dolce and Mr Gabbana themselves look at home in those grand surroundings.

The hustle and bustle present behind the scenes of the fashion shoot is tangible, yet a quiet elegance presides over the mood of the video. The statuesque

Glimpses of fun and camaraderie give this video a human touch. The final frame, with models, Charles Melton, Jerry Zhao, Zheng Da Peng, Zhang Ai Peng, Fu Zong Zheng, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana as well as the photographer Giuliano Bekor himself all posing together with a sense of satisfaction of a job well done.
