The Dolce & Gabbana Showroom transformed into a village market?

My days never cease to surprise me, after all, when you work for Dolce&Gabbana you should always expect the unexpected.

My day had begun well, I had just been given the opportunity of going to do some “window” shopping in the editorials showroom to borrow some Dolce&Gabbana clothes to wear at Paris fashion week. I felt like one of those celebs who get free reign of the collection. On my way back to the office, after spending a lovely morning pulling runway looks, I walked into the retail showroom and was greeted by this.

The SS12 Dolce&Gabbana collection, which had just graced the runway, was inspired by Italian produce, by the conviviality of eating a meal in the village piazza with your neighbours. Dancing under the decorative lights and watching the fireworks all together, creating a real sense of togetherness and tradition.

And here I am, faced with market stalls installations covered in fresh vegetables, and shoes, of course. I turn my head, and I see another stall covered with fireworks and an embellished bustier.

And now for a spot of shopping… food shopping that is!
