The D&G FW12 Show is quickly approaching: the first thing we want to know is the mood. We show you just enough not to ruin the surprise for when the models take over.
What is an icon? Throughout the many collections we have been able to ponder upon this question. There were times with real people, times with fairy tales, a western look at the world, a colour. Fun, young, and bright. It’s nice to have a friend on your back – meaning on your clothes. Guess which one they will have next season?
Pick your mix: colour duos, the stripes on the socks. Goofy with style.
Wear someone’s name on the back of your collar. Better if it’s an icon.
An iconic soft drink in vintage colours. Lively.
A glimpse of a pop shirt. Tight.
The protagonists: the high sneakers, not only in bright colours.
Street style is back? Apparently so.
The best tailoring job? Giving a suit a whole new look and proportions.
Svelte and attention prone: the outcome of having an in-wardrobe stylist. Waist
coat, tie, and check shirt, on top contrast with the new jeans.
The Classic pea-coat with new proportions, and the special fit we are waiting to
see during the show.
Young meets classy, classy meets technology.
Long sweater with iconic print. Watch out for the striking combos.
Not really going to Oxford, not really out and about in the streets. Interesting
new fits and proportions.
It’s obvious: Mickey Mouse is D&G’s new favourite icon.
