Leandro Manuel Emede edited the short movie filmed during the shooting of Dolce&Gabbana SS/12 Man Campaign shot by Mariano Vivanco, a tribute to cinema italiano…
The sound of the water, the cicadas singing, the bells ringing, the noise of a Vespa passing by, the beauty of young lovers framed by the sunlight of a summer’s day: this short movie by Leandro Manuel Ermede was filmed during the Dolce&Gabbana SS/12 Man Campaign shot by Mariano Vivanco and interpreted by young Italian actors Francesco Scianna, Filippo Nigro, Primo Reggiani, Beppe Fiorello, Thomas Trabacchi and Chiara Francini. The campaign, also meant as a tribute to Italian beauty and to the cinema Italiano, has been translated by Dolce&Gabbana in the very same language that expresses this cinematic mood, the quintessence of it: a short movie that features the same protagonists of the shooting.
The fil-rouge of the story is the Italian lifestyle: a beautiful town in Italy immersed in a relaxed atmosphere, a happy, lazy day spent with family, friends, loved ones, enjoying festive meals, long walks and laughing hard (and occasional flirting, too).
The leisure time recounted in the movie stands out thanks to the framings of little gestures and to the sounds - you can almost smell the sea and the Mediterranean vegetation. These are all perfect ingredients making up the art of the Italian lifestyle and Italian cinema.
The short movie succeeds in fact in engaging the viewer so much so that at the end you wonder: “what is going to happen next?”
