It is no surprise that Dolce&Gabbana, Swide and the models are all one big family and we couldn’t let a birthday pass without celebrating it with a backstage birthday. After the rehearsal of the D&G SS12 the models gathered together and waited for the unsuspecting twins to arrive. They came in and the room erupted with cheers, clapping and whoops and the Sampaio twins  couldn’t contain their surprise or smiles.  They then took a deep breath and blew out the candles together, which was followed by a rendition of Happy Birthday with a touch of confusion because when their names were sang no one could decide if it should it have been “Happy Birthday to Kevin and Jonathan, Jonathan and Kevin, Kevin and Jon, Jon….” you get the idea. It was a true family photo moment and an emotional one at that. The grateful twins thanked the well wishers and hugs were exchanged.

 The Sampaio twins have arrived!! 

 Jonathan Marquez, Adrian Cardoso, Francisco Lachowski, Elia Cometti, Alfred Kovac and Sebastian Lund celebrate with the twins. 

And what of the cake I hear you ask? Well, Swide chose a cake that would have minimum impact on the marvelous bodies of the male models so close to show time, an apricot bake with five blue candles standing to attention. So next time you have a last minute birthday bash, you know who to call.
