Summer in the office means several things. Laser treatments, botox and extending one’s overdraft. Opting for a fortnight’s bohemia as Talitha Getty does not pay itself, and as such a trip to the bank was in order – if only to pay off the wardrobe.

Now before we head off into the dreary settings of the bank - I need to fill you in on yet another trend the office is working and that is, its attempt to channel Cameron Diaz (as in on the cover of American Vogue looking all green & healthy and not all S&M a là V magazine). As such we’re all doing our bit to help the world’s rainforests. Although our air miles are as healthy as ever, we’re pleased to report our paper stocks are holding their own thanks to the reusing of print-outs which of course transports right back to the fashion forward F/W 2009.

Going to the bank is never an easy task, made worse by the fact I dress in such an obviously consumerist and way-beyond budget way. The epitome of efficiency that I am, the day in question I was due at the bank, I forgot all my official papers and so had to scribble various details down in the office.

Rushing off to secure my holiday – I merrily chatted to the bank-teller explaining how much I was looking forward to the break, and handing over my details. It was only when the poor lady blushed did I realize our ever so virtuous recycled paper, was in fact not virtuous at all.

The poor woman was forced to read the intimate details of my bank account, from well, the intimate angle of a model’s rear.
