Get into the dog-training story

Like a child, a dog needs some basic rules to get his path into the world the right way.

I decided that it was time for Peter Pan to learn the manners and follow the Etiquette. What sounds quite simple is not in reality. My whole "I am going to teach my puppy" journey started with a book ordered online Training Your Labrador Retriever by September Morn. Very handy my guide fits in my handbag and is divided in clear features. However, a dog is not like a computer so from words to deeds… We had the time and space to make a whole mess. I tried twice with cookies to get “Sit” mean actually sit.

The cookie did generate motivation and good will but I found myself telling the same order in French, English, Italian (would you believe it?) and Danish. If Peter Pan is very clever, he got a bit confused but was really happy as my language trials meant 4 cookies in less than 5 minutes.
To cut a long story short, next week we will go for a proper training, booked on Sunday. Let’s see or sit!

Buy the book on Amazon and get your training started!
