Knee deep in Madonna's sequins

A ticket to the best place in the world please. Not even the price of a first class ticket on the Orient Express could match today's trip to the Dolce & Gabbana archives.

Yes - just another average day (not) in the office. Off to see Dolce & Gabbana's ENTIRE archive and to spend hours looking at incredible dresses worn by Madonna, Kylie, Beyonce, and Whitney. Yes I hate to name-drop but quite frankly when you're knee deep in Madonna's sequins you've GOT to tell someone.

Apart from the fact I may never be able to look at my own sad limp little wardrobe after today's visit I am both inspired and determined to make muse status despite all the odds - if only so I can play everyday in their dressing up box. Yes - today is living proof (fashion) dreams really do come true.

Imagine the type of wardrobe where you had EVERYTHING you ever wanted for ANY occasion. Safari a la Lauren Hutton in chic camel with the obligatory bohemian one of a kind beaded dresses that scream "heiress" for evenings sipping G&T's. Metallic party dresses with oversized fur for those Marianne Faithful edgy moments.

Hand painted evening coats for lounging in a Argentinean penthouse, dresses for dancing until 6am in Saint Tropez (I even spotted a bath-robe with fur collar), and get-ups to get you noticed in a room full of A-Listers.

And then of course - beneath the racks, and huddled in tissue paper I found my very own treasure staring out at me. Although it didn't exactly have my name on it - it is (has to be) my future wedding dress. Baby - I'm coming back for you (not exactly sure when of course) but you have to be mine. The archive manager of course had slightly different ideas about all of this. After asking me twice to put the dress back on the rail - she said she was closing for the day.
