Dusting down the office

The festive season at Dolce & Gabbana is well underway - Christmas cards are top of the agenda and as such, an in-house artist has been brought in to paint, design, and hand-craft a series of cards for top V-I-P's - luckily I'm sat right next to her so...

...I have the opportunity to peek at who is on Mr.G's christmas card list - I'm hoping when a certain name comes up, I can slip in my own personal message - I'll keep it professional of course but with menswear fashion week straight after Christmas it's important for him to keep me in his thoughts...(my little crush has already been revealed but if you missed it click on the link to follow /www.swide.com)

It's a lot of fun having an in-house artist - partiularly as she has brought with her a paint-box, coloured pens and lots of nice paper. There is of course a silly rumour about working in fashion - if you say to someone, who works for example in music/banks (are there any??) law, and doctors, nurses, or teachers, they smile and often remark, on how creative a professional this must be, followed by how much discount one gets. Two words - urban myth.

Yes - if you work in the style/design offices but for the rest - creative? More like tough - disciplined - and with nerves of steel. Creative? If by owing a Muji colured pen-set one is creative - then yes, most of the fashion industry could be included. Anyway the scenes are really quite hilarious surrounding the artists, lots of coloured pen envy, and only my boss is keeping my real...

The artist has a little brush with her for sweeping away debris from her eraser (whoever knew these things made such a mess???), my boss came in this morning and whilst checking her designs, he picked up her (artists) brush and started dusting down his suit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The poor artist didn't know what to say, and I panicked that his new cruise beige would be tarnished - luckily he didn't notice a thing, and I have to say he looked considerable smarter after a dusting down...
