It's not because of the chills we are getting in the old continent, it's just time to start talking about Fashion in the Fall, make some considerations, and decide which Dolce&Gabbana wardrobe to pick: after all we have two options. Either masculine or feminine.
Fall-Winter 2012 is about a rocking spirit, a Brit flare (yes the brogues and
fedoras), a sequined pop star appeal, and a definite masculine & feminine
blend. When we think of Dolce&Gabbana, we obviously have in mind leopard,
corset dresses, and lace. If we must think of ourselves as fashion experts, we
should not forget about the signature masculine and feminine game the brand has
been playing in crucial collection. Almost like a deep research of what's
sensual: the direct or the indirect - trasgressive way?
Fall-Winter 2012 takes this notion a step further by dividing the collection in
three: the (women) men, the (women) women, and the women-men.
Tuxedo jackets, a rock star appeal, suspenders, fedoras, and brogues. Walking
the line in London.
If the "men" are music icons, the women skillfully place music notes and stars
around their outfits. Star studded nights mix with signature shapes and delicate
lace.
Two to play: catchy masculine outerwear and accessories that hide a luxurious
femininity.
Men's tailoring borrowed to full-effect bu women. Note the make-up and the hair.
Corset dresses and over the top chiffon gowns: extreme femininity.
Dresses and brogues: men and women go hand in hand.
Black and white catwalk finish: the FW12 collection's new print: stars.
Moodboard of the Collection: Iconic women dressed like men.
