The other constant, is the feel of the wool, its felted, almost as though its been shrunken in the wash. The unusual texture of the wool makes for interesting silhouettes and textures.

The felted wool’s innovation is tangible when looking at this cocoon shaped dress. The unusual dimension, as well as the horizontal stripe print gives unusual dimensions and texture. The layered look can also be made more romantic by choosing a cropped top with a relaxed shoulder cut and a flowing chiffon skirt, peeping out from underneath a bodycon pencil skirt, giving the illusion of a slip.

For a chic yet casual pairing, match an oversize vest to a knitted pencil skirt. While for FW11 D&G have revisited the very popular sweater dress in a bold colour printed version. Add coloured accessories for a fun take on knitted daywear.

The cocoon shape jumper, with chiffon inserts and a colourful flowing chiffon jumper is emblematic of the D&G FW11 collection. For those who prefer a mode bodycon silhouette, there is a less egg shaped version. Don’t forget to match the iconic wedged heeled high-tops for a fashion forward winter look.
