Do you fancy making a statement this winter with your sunglasses? From a sunny day in the city, an après ski stroll in a quaint mountain village or on the beach on a tropical island, this winter embellished sunglasses are big. Big, bold and baroque that is.
The Dolce&Gabbana Fall Winter 2013 collection had one strong, unadulterated theme: Baroque. Building upon the intricate details and opulent designs of the collection, the Sicilian Baroque eyewear is just that: Baroque.
The
romantic relief decorations, which recall frescoes, of gilded roses and
unfurling foliage, create an opulent effect on the acetate frames. The
contrasting texture, colour and materials create a stunning effect. Drawing
inspiration from the ‘50s, this model features Sicilian baroque embellishments
along the front and temples. These vintage inspired frames with gilded roses
come in black, gray, brown, green and caramel in romantic opaline plastic.
Gradient lenses and the goldtone, resin-coated Dolce&Gabbana logo on the
temples provide a further touch of glamour.
And
for those who want to take the baroque with them even indoors, we have a
stunning optical version in five different colours: black, ice white, gray, red
and caramel, with a romantic opaline finish.
Can’t
get enough of baroque? Want a truly luxurious object of desire to fulfil your
most gilded dreams? The gold tiara-inspired model features an intricate twine of
gilded roses and foliage in pure baroque style that extends all along the
pen-finished crystal acetate temples. These ultra sophisticated jewel-glasses
with rivets applied and finished by hand are housed in exquisite baroque
burgundy velvet packaging.
The Baroque Eyewear collection is available in Dolce&Gabbana boutiques from October 2012.
