Spring is the most romantic of seasons, and the most fashionable. Flowers, the accessories of Mother Nature are ever so chic, and on trend, whether in a filed or printed on a dress.
May has passed the halfway mark and we’re getting closer to the height of flower season. The roses have born their fragile petals, peonies have flourished and wildflowers delicately brighten up fecund fields while lawns are dotted with wild daisies. The spectacular display nature puts on in May is singular and unsurpassable, but if you fancy blooming with the season’s colours, flower print is the thing for you.
Peonies
are Dolce&Gabbana’s SS12 flower of choice: dramatic, generous, luxurious and
brightly coloured. Peonies are one of Mother Nature’s finest creatures, so a
peony print bodysuit may be enough for a statement outfit. The sand coloured
background makes the flowers pop as though they were real. Match this look to
leaf green bijoux and add raffia clogs with flower applications.
Sometimes
a bouquet speaks louder than words. Women often complain they don’t receive
enough flowers, well, make amends with a multi flower print dress. Roses,
peonies, daisies, mimosa and elegant crocuses embellish many of the Spring
Summer 2012 dresses. Take a leaf from nature and match another work of art from
the natural sphere and match leopard print accessories to this floral look.
In
spring floral print becomes almost like a colour, lets say and it can be mixed
and matched at will. Different flower prints on the dress and the trench coat
for example are lovely and reproduce the organic way flowers spring up in
nature. Floral prints, even elegant peonies adapt to styles and occasions, from
demure shifts to casual jumpsuits.
A
chic and simple way to rock the floral print is on accessories.
Match
them to this season’s must have pastels hues for a trendy and elegant look.
Daisies
and mini polka dots adorn Mini Miss Sicilies and Dolce Bags.
The
elegant feel of a floral sling back or ballerina flat is unbeatable, or for a
more Seventies flower power look, daisy printed platforms can transform any
look.
