MDG in the frame of mind of 40s screen glamour

Madonna and Dolce & Gabbana announced earlier this year the launch of MDG sunglasses. The MDG line will be available in May.

 

Timing could not be better, considering that Madonna is the face of Dolce& Gabbana ‘s spring summer 2010 womenswear campaign.
It is the first design collaboration for the duo and their muse. La Donna was deeply involved in the whole design process and took part in the logo creation. More than just Madonna branded this line embodies the style of the star. The oversized and wraparound designs will surely get you noticed in your best brunch spots. For a big hit, plump for a coloured / printed frame. The shapes are feminine and follow Dolce & Gabbana’s signature style that is all about sensuality. To reveal the MDG line, a film noir inspired ad campaign was shot in New York by Steven Klein featuring la Donna in the company of a handsome man played by Tyson Ballou. While waiting the day of the launch in store and online, take a look through the peephole with Swide as we reveal week after week the snapshots that cast smart frames on the big screen.
