Yuri Ahn selects her Valentine’s Day gift list- and reveals some secrets on what women want. Take inspiration from it freely- and you’re other half won’t be disappointed.
Valentine’s Day is at the door, and nothing spoils a romantic evening like a bad gift. I’ve received many, and I know I won’t be the last woman to receive a bad Valentine’s gift, but I want to help my fellow women by helping their men getting it right.
Here are my 7 gift rules not to botch Valentine’s Day.
The “It bag”. Every woman wants an “it bag”- it’s a status symbol, its pretty, its everything a woman may want form an accessory. Head to Dolce&Gabbana for a classic Sicily or Dolce Bag or go for something a bit more seasonal like an Anna bucket bag.
Makeup. Yes, makeup is that women only sphere that continues to be mystifying to men. Take a leap of faith this Valentine’s Day and go down to the makeup counter. Now for the advice: steer clear of foundations, blushes, and concealers: leave the choice up to her. Go instead for Shocking lip-glosses or nail polishes from Dolce&Gabbana Makeup.
Go glam. Women love a bit of glamour, and nothing says glam more than oversize sunglasses. Choose a pair of noticeable, unique and plain gorgeous ones like the Dolce&Gabbana Black Lace Collection sunglasses.
Something useful. A wallet is the perfect ploy to get her to think of you and carry something you’ve given her around with her at all times. When she whips out her credit card, she’s sure to remember that special Valentine’s Day.
Jewellery. Now, that’s something you can never go wrong with. Jewellery is loved by all women, its shiny, its precious and well, its expensive! Show her you love her, and understand her with a Dolce&Gabbana heart shaped 24 carat gold pendant necklace and matching earrings and delicate pearls.
Perfume. Marilyn Monroe famously sleept with just 2 drops of her favourite scent and nothing else. Make her feel special and like your very own Marilyn with Dolce&Gabbana’s latest fragrance: Desire. Now you may seduce away.
Think of her house. Women love to nest, but do steer clear of utensils or blenders and opt for a chic coffee table book. Today, books are more than just literature, they’re interior designs statements. This Dolce&Gabbana Diamonds and Pearls publication is glam and will certainly sit pretty amongst her stuff.
