No.609 in a limited series - Meet Rita. She is a candidate for the best Dolce&Gabbana client.
To be honest with you, we had no idea of who Rita was. One morning we arrive to the office and find one of our favourite Dolce&Gabbana bags: the black macramé Pony Leopard with PVC insert. Who left it there?
curiously open the bag to check what's inside... One beautiful pink rose, a pair
of red animalier sunglasses, a CV and a motivation letter that starts as:
'To whom it may concern,
This is Rita Berny. I'm sending you a few pictures from my latest look. All
pieces are by Dolce&Gabbana. Macramé shoes cost 573 Euro, the large cut
linen pants 345 Euro, earrings 175 Euro, the necklace 145 Euro. The rest was
paid by my mother, so I have no idea about the price. I am still studying
fashion design at the university so I can't do an internship at
Dolce&Gabbana. Yet, I'm so eager to have a position at your firm that I
thought I could send my cv with my latest looks taken from my blog and be a
candidate for the best client position. I spend like crazy in your store because
everything is beautiful, chic and glamorous. I leave my contact details so that
we can fix an interview.
We love this kind of clients with an amazing sense of humor. She is just being nice with us, sending us this cv of hers, or not? Is she really trying to have privilege of being the best customer ever?
We try to come up with different ideas to cheer her up. She's sent us her bag, her sunglasses and a long motivation letter. We feel it just wouldn't be nice to let her down.
So we respond:
Thanks for your lovely motivation letter. It was surprising to see your cv! The looks are marvelous, keep up the good work. As we do not have a position like 'best client', we thought of something else to treat you with... We're inviting you to our fashion show next season, how about that?
We'll contact you for details later on. Have a lovely day!'
We saw this detailed picture that she sent us and we said: 'She would've made it to the first row if she had sent us those shoes instead of a rose!' Just kidding.
