What to wear at those NYE parties

Christmas celebrations are yet to kick off and over at Swide we’re already thinking about what to wear for New Year’s Eve.

Only a week after the feasting and family time orientated Christmas celebrations comes New Year’s Eve: parties and high glamour stakes. Kick off the New Year by making the right fashion choices with the Dolce&Gabbana SS13 pre collection to ensure a chic 2013.

For that New Years Eve black tie dinner you’ve been invited to and been stressing about the best option is classic lace. Go for a demure black Chantilly lace overlay with short sleeves and cinched waist. The slip is blush pink satin, for a nude but not naked illusion.

If you prefer something a little more akin to a red carpet look, then a mermaid silhouette is all the rage this season. A strapless black lace bodice, a figure hugging and sexy design with an exaggerated Mikado ruffle at the bottom contribute to an unforgettable gown.

The tuxedo is another way to rock the black tie event. Mixing masculine and feminine styles, the Dolce&Gabbana tuxedo is a sure win. Tailored Mikado trousers, hemmed just above the ankle make legs look linger and very thin. Match them, to a lace and plumeti tulle blouse, very sheer and very sexy. Finish the look with high heel pumps and a clutch.

If the two piece or tuxedo are your outfits of choice but you don’t want to renounce the skirt for that special NYE party, then a floor length black number is a twist ion the tuxedo trousers. Wear with a Chantilly lace blouse for a look that swings between Victorian primness and contemporary audacity.

For those of you who prefer a softer silhouette this chiffon gown is the dress. The corseted bodice dress with gathered chiffon detail provides support and structure without seeming boxed in, while the flowing layers of chiffon on the skirt lend the dress a nymph like feel, not to speak of the beautiful rose print. Remove the velvet bow belt for a New Year’s Party in the sun.

For a louder statement, this blush pink Mikado prom dress with fantastic rose print is jour ticket to be crowned Home Coming Queen! The sweetheart neckline with gathered details and the crinoline under skirts which give volume to the bell shaped skirt are every prom queen’s dream.
