Yuri’s Corner: Be a brocade belle

Fashion Editor Yuri Ahn directs her attention towards a Dolce&Gabbana classic: brocade. Elegant and romantic, the fabric is really a king amongst textiles.

As we all know, brocade is an essential part of the Dolce&Gabbana DNA, yet only one piece was present in the Fall Winter 2013 Baroque Collection. This show stopping pearl and gold application embroidered dress was a fitting addition to the collection. The puff sleeves and doll like silhouette is very baroque. Wear it with a black short coat and black velvet pumps with gold embroidery.

The second look centres on a cross-stitched bustier with roses. Wear it with a silver brocade puff skirt and black lace boots. With this look you can also wear a double breasted black coat. With this Baroque look, bijoux are essential, so wear rich Capodimonte style earrings and necklace. And a lace overlay slim Dolce Bag.
