Not all of us like to spend the summer oiling oneself and sweating on the beach. For those who ache for the chills of winter, there are plenty of places to visit, but what to wear when you’re unseasonably cold?
When visiting cold places in summer, packing might prove hard as you may be yearning for cooler weather, but imagine what you’ll need might be a task to far for your mind while you perspire taking the suitcase down from the top of the cupboard. Swide to your rescue! We’ll leave the trekking gear or goose down technical parkas to someone else, but here is what to wear when lounging in front of the log fire sipping a fine brandy.
Whether
you’re in Greenland or Patagonia, a bit of glamour never goes amiss. For your
evening relaxation or après ski, this ensemble of warm and rich earth colours
works a charm. A double-breasted is perfect for those cool evenings. The unusual
shorter cut, which lends the blazer a boxier silhouette gives an edge to a
classic look. The Rust, burn orangey-brown Prince of Wales- call it as you will,
but this warm earthy tone on the trousers will make you feel like you’re wrapped
up in a cosy blanket. Tie the look together with a tope classic shirt. A pair of
worn brogues and tobacco coloured silk accessories like the pocket square and
the FW13 ubiquitous bow tie complete a gentleman’s look.
