Pretty in knits: Reinventing a classic

| posted Feb 8, 2010

Knits are a winter staple whose presence on the catwalk may not make headlines - though Dolce & Gabbana's Fall 2010 collection got us excited about them again as jumpers will never be the same again...

In the months prior to their Fall 2010 men"s show we imagine Domenico Dolce's and Stefano Gabbana's knitting needles must have been working non-stop to come up with a collection that was especially rich in knits - quantity and variety. Tops, trousers and jackets - it's all about reinventing the rules with a little help from savoir-faire. Knits have become the new fabric and are treated as such - cut, sown and treated like it was cotton.

Not just a jumper - knits are invading your entire wardrobe. Does it get more comfortable than the cashmere jodhpurs?

They might have said that real men wore pink but stick to a neutral palette of earth tones and greys if you want to be noticed for better reasons.

Our boys Sam; David and Noah from the S/S 10 campaign covered up - and they don't look half bad!

All in the details. Forget shiny new jumpers, our men have lived and their clothes reflect that.

The essential shoe - think the opposite of dainty, the work boot is a masculine knit's best friend.
