Milan embraces Beckham in Los Angeles
Monday's friendly match between A.C Milan and L.A team Galaxy was played out in front of 27.000 spectators to a warm reception. Swide heads into the locker room to discover what went on in the minds of the players.
On the terraces, fans were a sea of red and black. At the entrance to the stadium the club hugged, and greeted former team mate David Beckham (featured above with Seedorf).
It felt more like a party than a match; for the entire 90 minutes of the match, the terraces were alive. There were obviously some tense moments at first between Beckham and his American fans but his talent managed to win over the Galaxy supporters.
At the end of the match, a friendly atmosphere filled the locker room as Gattuso and Inzaghi hugged Beckham. Leonardo’s (Milan’s coach) players were astonished at the incredible warmth the Americans have for the Milanese club. Post match, the squad headed back to their hotel to wind down before some well earned sleep.
Tomorrow is the player’s final day in California before they head to Atlanta. Stay posted for more.
