Design finds eggspiration
The nutrients in an egg can do miracles for one’s skin, but how about taking a shower in one? Arina Komarova’s egg-shaped Cocoon Shower Stall is the newest form of an at home spa. The stall features a shower, bathtub, hydro massage and mood lighting. The features aren’t why we are interested, but more the fantasy of being in another world whilst showering.

Why stop at an egg-shaped shower when you can have a house (kind of)? It may look like a hard-boiled egg, but is actually a mobile office unit designed by a Belgian architectural firm, “dmVa”.
The unit named "blob VB3" consists of a bathroom, kitchen, interior lighting, a bed and several niches of storage.

Egg-shower, egg-bathtub, egg-home…One can only wonder why the egg has been such a strong focal point of inspiration for so many designers. Could it be that we humans are searching for that same sense of security found in the protective layer of an egg? Putting theories aside, what we really want to know is when can we start riding in these oval- shaped beauties?
