| posted Oct 28, 2009

You know you've made it when designers Dolce & Gabbana design your entire wardrobe for your forthcoming tour (and by this we mean cargo pants, jeans shirts...) and Bruce Weber shoots your new album cover. Jealous, us?

For the cover of his latest album “Ali e Radici”, the legendary Bruce Weber has photographed Eros Ramazzotti. The album is the eleventh (studio album) for this singer-songwriter who has released an astonishing 15 albums (including EPs and live CDs) throughout his 25 year career and sold worldwide more than 50 million discs. Adding to his star status, Dolce & Gabbana have now put together a wardobe exclusively for him for his current world tour - take an exclusive peek at the on and off stage looks below.

From October 21st, the singer will be on his "Ali e Radici" tour that will see the star travel throughout Italy and Europe until spring 2010.

Eros' second single out now and taken from his new album is called Controvento. The video was directed by Phil Griffin who has also worked with Basement Jaxx, Danni Minogue and The Shapeshifters. Take a look above.

The star, who also sings in Spanish has performed duets with prestigious artists that include Andrea Bocelli, Anastacia, Joe Cocker, Luciano Pavarotti, and Ricky Martin.

Eros Ramazzotti was born in an suburb of Rome, Italy in 1968 - and  named after the Greek god of love. After starting to play the guitar at age of seven, he eventually got his first breakthrough in 1981, leaving Rome for Milan to start his career. Since then he's achieved that rare commodity in the music industry - a commercial industry with a cult following.
