Nicole Kidman (British GQ Dec 09)
As she recalls some of the choices made throughout her career (including the ones we could have presumed she'd rather forget), the actress offer us an insight on why it hasn't so much been about box-office success (Australia anyone?) but rather about a rather intimate exploration of some of the darker depths of human nature - including sexuality and strange obsessions (Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut, which she still strongly defends, springs to mind).

Nicole Kidman is ever the femme fatale in a vintage corset by Dolce & Gabbana; shot by Peter Lindbergh, styled by Michael Philouze.
In her own words: "I've never wanted to be safe. [...] I've never chosen safe films...[...] My life is about exploring love, I've explored obsession, loss, strange sexual fetish stuff. But I'm still on that journey."
