A Dolce & Gabbana masculine wave by Pen Japan

Posted Jun 9, 2010

It is extreme, it is beautiful, it is Dolce&Gabbana and it is in Pen Japan magazine.

Japanese are known to be very inspiring when it comes to style. Is it because they dare, because they are more self-conscious then we, Westerners? Or is it just a matter of culture and taste… Whatever the reason is, Pen Japan May 2010 issue has proven that they know what they are talking about when it comes to menswear. In a six-page spread, one can find the main Dolce&Gabbana signature items. “Extreme Beauty” is the title of this fashion story that celebrates in style the 20th menswear Anniversary that the two designers are about to commemorate in Milan on 19th June.

Like a revolution, they have established new menswear guidelines and created trends that young designers are following and future fashion designers studying. It is tailoring at its extremes. From the classic black tuxedo to the canotta or the rolled up pants, it is about aesthetic sense, comfort and freedom. Free to express himself, free to move, free to experience the world around, Mr Dolce&Gabbana could be the symbol of a fashion Nouvelle Vague.
