Video Must Have: Bijoux- Food for Thought
The Dolce&Gabbana SS12 collection is as Italian as it can get. The designers drew inspiration from the peninsula in all its folkloristic beauty. Earrings and bracelets made of vegetables: tomatoes, peppers, garlic and aubergines. Necklaces created with pasta and elegant chandelier earrings inspired by the village lights which adorn the streets during celebrations the bijoux in the fashion show are a true feast.

The Matt Silk Collection for SS12 is cool, pretty and perfectly in tune with this season’s main trend: Fifties. Luca Finotti, an up and coming Italian director was charged with creating a video to contextualize the inspiration behind the glasses. Drawing from by the classic Italian Fifties comedies, the video tells a story of ironic jealousy between mother and daughter. Think classic car, Bianca Balti, vintage music, Italian scenery. The story for the video was created by Swide, styled by Yuri Ahn and directed by Luca Finotti. A Fifties day out for a contemporary woman.
