The
80s inspired alphabet print on fluo background has a Katherine Hemnett- esque
feel, which lends the whole collection a funky, punk touch. The lettering set in
horizontal lines lend themselves perfectly for layering and playing with the
silhouette. Over a mibi length chiffon skirt layer a skin-tight mini in wool
jacquard and a belt to define your waist. Add texture as well as volume to your
outfit.
Boxy
cropped sweaters and boyfriend style jackets are the ideal tools to play with
proportions. Shrunken wool minis, leather shorts, tights and leggings all serve
to one end- layering and texture. Complement your experiments with shape by
sticking to one print.
On
the reverse side of the D&G print portfolio, lies the Daisy motif. Romantic
and youthful, this print fulfils the need of the equally fashion conscious but
less daring D&G fans. Daisy printed chiffon in bold hues like green and red
satisfy the need for bright colours. The Daisy print looks hand painted, lending
the whole collection a craftsmanship feel.
The
Daisy print collection has a definite neo hippy quality to the overall
silhouette. Strapless denim dresses and cute playsuits complement an assortment
of bootleg jeans and flowing ankle length dresses.
Alphabet
prints have contaminated accessories too. Add another dimension to your layering
and mix and matching with the D&G printed platform sneakers. The bright
canvas high tops with white rubber toecaps finish off that eighties funky style,
just add a round purse or an oversize clutch and you’re ready to roll.
