Spotted on our radar: blue, red, white and gold sailing into view as the new colours on the horizon. Before however you say anchors away - take note little sailors, for the new SS09 D&G looks have one little scented thing in common - a corsage, the accessory that has the power to lift an outfit out of the water and ensure you sail into next season in style.
As seen on the the catwalk, fabric flowers are versatile and chic accessories that can be worn as necklaces, belts or as brooches in a variety of fabrics and prints. Party dresses and metallic skirts instantly get a 1930's Hollywood shot of gold glamour by accessorizing them with oversized metallic flowers whilst in a quirky twist for daywear add a flower to a blouse, jacket or top in a variety of fabrics that complement the SS09 collection - red, white, blue, printed with nautical flags, anchors and stripes.
Picture the champagne cocktail, oversized shades and a cheeky homage to the 60's sailing scene as D&G goes on a voyage to the Cote D'Azur smelling of roses. Just ensure you have some flower power for the queue when the item hits store in the Spring...
