Looking back to the Italian label’s winter 2011 womenswear show is a must to understand how to seduce. No scoop but traditional recipes that work. Often forgotten, some key ingredients need to be urgently remembered. For the low temperatures do not justify or give any woman the right to forget that she is a woman. Do you feel confident? Do you need us to pull out the rules you have to know before entering your winter closet? Grab a pen and take some notes.
Lace is not an option. Touches or full=on, you choose but to us it has to be black and look best when layered. The secret is in a pin, yes the vintage or antique one you have left in the bottom of your draw. Wrap your femininity in a casual knit. Play with contrasts, the focus is on fabric so keep the colours simple, a black and ivory story is cool for now.
However if you still feel like colouring, bold colours are allowed, but again stick to one, preferably red or yellow gold. If you are not a style expert, tap in one of Dolce&Gabbana’s black lace dresses; they know the codes and did the job for you. Walk out of the door in one of these frocks and you will make an instant statement on the pavement.
Your lace card on the table, and you should feel ready to gamble with transparency. Suggest to impress. Undress with a dress? Possible? Not for everybody but to-go for if you have the silhouette: a lace bodysuit under a see-through silk robe is surely a great asset to get noticed and be seduced.
Finish off your sensual declaration with shoes to stand up, bejewelled clutches, and lesson learned: do not forget to twist your golden pin.
