Surrealism explores breaking the rules and revels in creativity - and it was this very concept that inspired the designers Dolce & Gabbana to reinvent the print for FW10.
The hallmarks of a Dolce & Gabbana collection are always its immaculate finish. Every piece within a DG collection is artfully finished and created from a combination of precious and exquisite fabrics. Next season even print gets the Dolce & Gabbana treatment - as new print styles step up the luxury factor with an artisan touch giving tailored suits and form fitting dresses inspired by the forties a futuristic makeover.
In the FW10 collection polka dot and leopard prints have a new injection of sophistication, as individual prints become their own work of arts.
Polka dot and leopard-print markings are cut from sumptuous velvet and then placed on silk Mikado, georgette plissé, wool crêpe, and chiffon to create a unique and precious look that cannot be found elsewhere.
Literally tying the entire collection are grosgrain bows at the waists of dresses, suits and fox furs. In this collection inspired by unexpected details - satin bows are a playful, accessible and stylish way to instantly update your FW10 look.
