This Brigitte Bardot lookalike has most definitely left the ranch for a downtown loft as D&G's new spring/summer collection creates a hip new urban uniform. Layer lace with a boyfriend jacket and a flirty skirt and you'll have nothing to fear at night.

Corsets, flirty skirts and lace - forget the usual street uniform as spring sees a sartorial change for the urban streets.

Mini's get shorter, summer dresses get layered with lace and a new colour palette screams urban nomad.

D&G's 2010 spring/summer collection combined the saucy inspiration of French actress Brigitte Bardot in the wacky western movie, 'Viva Maria' with early shots of Kate Moss shot by Jurgen Teller - this is one collection that screams downtown cool with that the requiste pinch of quirkiness.

Rich hues of caramel, brown and camel create a sophisticated look that's both wearable and practical.

Layer the look with leather and suede - inspired by British street style to add a quirky edge. This is one cowgirl who's very at home in the city.

The trick to the look is to layer masculine elements such as a soft suede shirt, a pair of cowboy boots or a boyfriend blazer with a flirty skirt, cheeky mini or sexy minidress.
