The SS12 Dolce&Gabbana collection was inspired by fishermen, so the nets, the rolled up trousers and the discoloured effect on the fabrics and leather. However, Dolce&Gabbana know their client base and know what they’re good at, so on the runway they sent out a large variety of tailored looks which wet the appetite for a new summer wardrobe for those who have less maritime inclinations.

The Fall Winter 2013 Dolce&Gabbana Collection was a baroque wonder, with at its centre the overcoat. The undisputed protagonist of the season is the coat, in all its versions. The Swide team have put together a video which features the most important items and themes from the collection. Pens at the ready, i see a shopping list emerging.
This season its all about the coat. Classic, exquisitely embroidered or in the form of a cape- the coat is the item around which the Dolce&Gabbana FW13 world goes round.
The Christmas lights have gone up all over the high streets, the shop windows are decorated with snow flakes, and Christmas Carols are blasted from loudspeakers as you do your shopping. Yes Christmas is upon us.
