Next winter, arm yourself with a tailored blazer

Posted Apr 22, 2010

Dolce & Gabbana have taken the classic masculine jacket to a next level, offering original combinations of fabrics and cuts.

Sartorialism is the keyword, heritage is the source of inspiration, an edgy borrowed-from-the-boys suit is the result.

Mannish tailored jackets are tried-true staples for any well-rounded woman. For Autumn Winter 2010-2011, Dolce & Gabbana have worked their looks around this piece of clothing as a tribute to Italian craftsmanship and Sicilian traditional elegance.

Think outside the box. A blazer is not only the formal piece you wear with matching pants to go to work. There is a world of options so there is no reason why you would not find the “one” that will suit your taste and body shape.
Short, long; single or double breasted, fitted or oversized, select one or more of these ever-stylish standards and you will be sure to feel confidently chic. There are many ways to wear a blazer: on a lace dress to balance a very girly look, on a pair of fluid cigarette-pants for a masculine twist (very eighties’) or as part of a set.

If you opt for the traditional ensemble, pick a fill-free cut and wear it in grey as an alternative to black to lighten a rather strict outfit. The simple T shape is perfect to elongate the silhouette and has so much sex-appeal when worn with a lace bra or camisole. Suggest to impress, sophistication lies in details and does not rely on trends.
So get creative and enjoy architectural tailoring, why not a mismatched suit? One blazer and various trousers depending on occasions. Want to stand out? Shine with a gold rock’n’ roll military cover-up that is just perfect with a pair of jeans.

The robe-manteau is for sure one of our favourite: accessorise it right and it becomes a sexy nighttime option.

The Dolce & Gabbana rule for next winter: suit it up with no boundaries…
