D&G ‘s men guidelines for spring summer 2011 are everything but strict, it is about family, friends, gatherings at a garden party or at a Sunday picnic.

A déjeuner sur l’herbe invitation to remind us that simple things can be so enjoyable and that vichy prints and bermudas are back in fashion.

 

 Fifties inspired, this trend is easy to adopt: you will feel good and look good. Add some hawaiian print and you will give a cool spin to a classic look.

 

T-shirts are fitted, chino pants are light and comfy and jackets are unstructured to ease moves. A fresh colour palette made of various greens, khaki and pastels for a “puro piacere” (pure pleasure) mood, which sounds just right for a holiday season.

Fresh food, fresh look, a “style” work of art that matches a nice table set.

Start to plan your picnic sessions; D&G is in charge of the outfits.

On your way out do not forget the picnic basket, it will be next summer’s it bag.

Stars, as old as the universe, but always on trend

The Dolce&Gabbana FW11 collection was based on the contrast between masculine and feminine. Role-playing, fabric swapping and silhouette challenging designs dominated the catwalk. To concretise the distinction between the masculine and the feminine, the duo decided to hang their perceptions on a print, an icon, a symbol as old as the world itself- the star.
