No.606 in a limited series- Pamela had the credit card of her soon-to-be mother-in-law and the approval of her boyfriend for the shopping spree she was about to begin...

 Pamela had this D&G look-book image of Auguste Abeliunait pinned on her wall for a long time now. Today was the day, she had the credit card of her soon-to-be mother-in-law and the approval of her boyfriend for the shopping spree she was about to begin. (The approval of the witch, the so called mother-in-law, was lacking, but Pamela didn't really care much about that... It was up to Nick to calm his mother...)

She went into the D&G store. The sun was shining outside. She needed a new wardrobe with floral patterns so that she could foreshadow the arrival of Spring. She wanted to buy her new best-friend. According to Pamela, whoever said that friends couldn't be bought had never been to a D&G store before. She said to the sales assistant:

'A friend is for keeping you company... Lily will come with me everywhere... For cheering you up... Lily already makes me the happiest girl in the world... For keeping your secrets... Lily will keep my colored contact lenses, fake eyelashes and my Wonderbra...'

Then she tried on the satin stretch dress with flower patterns. The soft touch of satin against her skin, the length of the skirt and the cut of the dress were things she would never want to live without. Obsessed? She was. 

'Lily will be my best friend forever, yet I want the clutch as well. It's the perfect size to hold a few credit cards, a lipstick and my mobile phone when I go out with my friends...' The shopping assistant nodded. 

She checked the shoes department and saw the wedges. They were so comfortable that it was as if she was walking on a field of flowers. For 545 Euro, it was quite a good deal. She was not the one paying anyways. That's why she said to the girl: 'Wedges in 38 and also the pumps of the same fabric please... Thanks!'

'This should be all. I'd like to pay, thanks.' But then she saw herself in the mirror. There was this small bruise on her neck. After having spent hours and hours with her boyfriend in the attic yesterday night, who knew why she had that bruise right there? She had to return home in half an hour and her mother would be waiting for her so that they could have lunch together. She didn't want to explain anything. A silk scarf would cover the evidence of crime... if a bit of loving could be considered a crime after all. 'Can we add this beautiful scarf as well? Thank you...'

The shopping assistant seemed happy. Pamela was a good client, she bought almost everything that had flowers on it. 

'Satin stretch flower dress for 395 Euro... Flower clutch costs 675 Euro. Wedges come at 545 Euro and the heels at 265 Euro... Lily,' she smiled, 'your best friend forever, costs 555 Euro. So total is 2435 Euro... Ah, the scarf...'

Pamela looked at her mysteriously and said: 'Don't bore me with all these price details... Here's my credit card...' She knew the pin code so there was no need for a signature or whatever. She left the store happy.

In an hour or so, her never-to-be mother-in-law would call quite angrily yet Pamela wouldn't answer.
