Milan Fashion Week! Post fashion show fun

Posted Feb 24, 2012

Fashion week is about more than fashion shows. There are presentations, lunches, cocktails, aperitifs, galas and parties.

But fashion week is also about letting your hair down after all the official events are finished- and for this season Swide has decided to concentrate on this much more expressive portion of the fashion week calendar with our fashion advice.

Milan is known for its luxurious fashion shows, gourmet restaurants, celeb packed parties and for a club night that attracts the movers and shakers of the fashion set, and inspired them to move and shake on the dance floor. So here is what to wear at the infamous night at Plastic, the House of Bordello, where you will be rubbing shoulders with models fresh from the catwalks and designers fresh from taking a bow on the runway.

Make Bianca Balti pale into insignificance with this white crop top and crystal embellished skirt. While for a subversive bon ton look- this 1950s silhouette yet see through organza look is emblematic of a world of contrasts.

Show off your legs and give the go-go girls at the club a run for their money with an intricately embroidered bodysuit from the Dolce&Gabbana SS12 finale. For a more ironic and spicy look, clad yourself in this pepper print ensemble.

Flowing silhouettes are sexy and modern. Channel the boho chic trend with these mix and match foulard print dresses.

Foulard prints can be made into sexy mini dresses. Whether you rather a plunging neckline or body con silhouette, there is bound to be a dress just for you in the SS12 D&G collection.

Colourful printed accessories make a clubbing outfit. A smaller than small bag and sky high heels are the combination for SS12. Dangly, noisy and glittery coin bracelets, earrings and necklaces will reflect the disco ball lights.

This is Plastic! PVC has always been a clubber’s favourite. Choose an item, or more from the SS12 Dolce&Gabbana accessories range.

Embrace the surrealist mood of the House of Bordello with the pasta bijoux.
