We found the new Tuscany in China
Spotted whilst visiting The Great Wall, Beijing this summer… “Villas for sale” in the Mutianyu national park. Could this be the new Tuscany?
Whilst the rest of the world obsessed with Beijing’s smog, the Chinese in the know were heading to the hills and their pollution-free retreats in a national park, nestled between mountains called Mutianyu. The area, only twenty kilometres from the Jingcheng Expressway, and an hour from downtown Beijing, is set to be one of the last places on earth where you can afford to buy a house with views of one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
China Bound ltd is one company testing the water, having already built a range of sustainable properties maintaining traditional design with a modern edge plus a range of “first class village style” hotel properties available to view at www.chinacountrysidehotels.com.
Let Hong Kong be your guide to what happens when the Asian property market takes off.
Take a little peek at “The Arch”. According to website Luxuo, it is the most expensive flat in Asia ever sold.
Set over 5,500 square metres, and perched on the eightieth floor, the must-have penthouse has views over Victoria Harbour, a private swimming pool and an estimated value of 225 million Hong Kong dollars (28.8 million U.S dollars).
The apartment is located in a high rise building in Hong Kong’s Kowloon district that comprises of two towers joined at the centre by what is known as “the club house” , a resident’s only complex that features yet another swimming pool and gym facilities on the 60th floor.
