Twerbose: Tweet longer or social tweeticide?

Early adopter Frances Bean Cobain has penned an open letter courtesy of Twerbose - Twitter's new service that allows you write more than 140 characters to Ali Lohan.

 We dread to think what her mother, Courtney Love and notorious tweeter might to if she turns to Twerbose...

We were ever so nervous about celebrities twittering to begin with - put a glass of wine in one hand and a twitter account in the other and it makes for social tweeticide. Celebrities seem particularly adept at mismanaging Twitter (Perez Hilton & Demi Moore tweet fight for example) and yet on they keep tapping, which is why we can’t wait to see what happens when and if they move over to Twerbose.


The Twerbose service lets you post abnormally large tweets to Twitter via the Twitter API. Once you have created a large tweet, the service can then shrink it and post it to your Twitter stream with a link back to a page where your followers can get all the details.

Frances bean outburst directed at Ali Lohan and sister of Ungaro designer Lindsay (sorry we couldn’t resist) was cutting stuff – read the full ‘open letter’ here.

“Your not entitled to anything simply because your sister has a recognizable name. Your idea of fame isn't fame. It's infamy. You want to be famous? Work your ass off and make decisions that could potentially catapult your career into a lasting one.”
