POST ELECTION FATIGUE
Apparantly Oprah's suffering from it so it must be ready for the mainstream.
SYMPTONS: Weight gain and the constant desire to be in Washington.
CAUSES: The inability to mix with those in power. An obsession with Michelle Obama's toned upper arms.
URBAN AMISH
Despite the majority of city-dwellers aware of what their neighbours/colleague/exes are doing at any given moment of the day - there are those that still resist the pull of technology.
SYMPTONS: The inability or lack of desire to use Twitter, Facebook, a mobile phone or laptop
CAUSES: The desire to live a life amongst real-life human beings.
BEING LISTED
Relatively new to the social networking world, Twitter has added a new wicked twist to its ever-expanding platform. Users are now able to list your twitter account according to their own personalized labels leaving you at the whim of others to decide as to whether you belong in a fashion/celebrity/trash list or should be places under 'other'.
SYMPTONS: The inability to face a virtual life. Making rash decisions such as removing wifi.
CAUSES: Posting links about your fabulous life.
VACCINATION ENVY
With swine flu in the air, there's no love lost in being the first to secure your own stash of vaccination. And that's not all - immersed in our virtual world, society is intent on vaccinating itself from the problems of outside (ie real-life) by refusing to communciate in more than 140 characters.
SYMPTONS: Adding tags to sentences and telling tales about the so-called time you had swine flu.
CAUSES: Global warming
